I'm going to high school next year, though I look like a 12-year-old boy. That wouldn't be much of a problem, but most other people look 16/17 years old. I don't want to seem like I'm trying too hard or using too much makeup, but I have a baby face. I know I shouldn't care what people think, but it would give me more confidence to look at least a year or two older. I'm also a little short for my age (5 ' 4 ') so that it doesn't help my case, and I recently cut my hair for my collar. One that makes me look even younger than usual.
The same thing happened to me. It's kind of hard to look much older without makeup, but there are some things you can do. Wear clothes that make you look older. For example, graphic T-shirts will probably make you look younger, from what I've seen. But the clothes that combine and are pure and polished will make you look older. These can still be jeans and a T-shirt, but try for a tighter and neater adjustment. Plucking your eyebrows can make you look older, and you don't necessarily need to fill them in. Jewelry can make you look older, you're going to have to see what suits you. In my experience, a little mascara and a little eye concealer will go a long way. It's just a little makeup, but it's going to change the way you look. Maybe style your hair in different ways. Curling the extremities can make you look older, how you'll straighten it out. Finally, trust plays a great role at your age. A girl who looks older, but seems very shy and shy, will come across as younger, and vice versa. Act like you want people to see you, and they'll probably watch you that way.
Honestly, it's OK to look younger-I'm 17 and people still think I'm 12 or 13, which is a bit of a hassle sometimes, but at least you'll look younger when you're old. For me personally, I've learned to accept it. I have 5 ' 2, 100 pounds, and I have a small child face that with my baby blue eyes and freckles and round face. Possess your appearance, and you will begin to look a little older as the year passes, trust me. You might even find that you enjoy your "childish" looks if you use it to your advantage and if you want to look older just age wisely. It's going to work very well for you.
I think wearing a little mascara and having your eyebrows in shape and filled out if they are lightweight could make you look a little older. I do that too and I don't think it looks bad. Good luck.
If you want my advice. Cherish your youthful appearance, because it will ripen later, while the girls who already have mature apparitions will be beginning to develop the wrinkles of the old woman in her 40s. Avoid tanning and smoking, because both will accelerate the appearance of aging your skin and you will look like 1 50 year at the age of 30.
